We made Snapledger for ourselves first, because knowing where your money goes shouldn't be a part-time job.
Snapledger started as a tool we built for ourselves. We wanted to actually budget, not just glance at a banking app. But every system we tried died the same death: a pile of receipts, a backlog of typing, and a quiet surrender somewhere around week three.
So we removed the typing. Snap a receipt and it's read, checked, categorized, and counted against your monthly budget, all by itself. The discipline stays; the chore goes. We got so much value out of it ourselves that opening it up to everyone was the obvious next step.
That's the mission in one line: make personal finance possible, and easy, for everyone. See where your money goes, understand your habits, and improve a little every month.
